I grew up in NY, and originally pursued a business degree, then began working in the fashion industry. I quickly realized the career I was in did not fit me. It was clear to me that something was missing and I longed to wake up to a job that I loved. I wanted to make a difference in the world, and I knew that difference would be with children. This goal prompted a move to Tennessee, where I attended Lipscomb University and received my masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
The phrase I use when describing how I feel about my work is it makes me come alive! People will often ask me how I do what I do. My answer is, “I did not choose my career, my career chose me, and it is my passion.” My passion is constantly pushing me toward expanding my expertise through local and national trainings, conferences and valuable opportunities to interact with pioneers in the field.
I strive to support children and families by guiding parents in meeting the developmental and emotional needs of their children. I began my career wanting to make a difference, but it is the children who have truly made the difference in me.
In my free time I love to read, and spend time with family and friends! I am not sure if laughing is a hobby but I love to be around people who make me laugh. When you meet me I will most likely have a coffee in my hand!
Hi, I’m Camo!
I am small, white, fluffy Havanese dog. It might be strange that a fluffy white dog is named after camouflage, but my mom really loves that pattern.
(She tells people it is her favorite color!) Since she loves me so much, she just had to name me Camo. I do have a brown nose and green eyes, so maybe I am kind of camo!
I am a therapy dog in training and work with my mom, Leah Lennox! I like to sit with her and clients when she works so I can help the clients feel comfortable and safe to talk about their feelings. I also love playing with toys, running around outside, getting a pup cup at Starbucks, and sleeping in my mom’s lap while she is talking to her friends. I am super cute, cuddly, and friendly! I can’t meet wait to meet you!
